Cookie Policy

The short version

ScamBare does not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or third-party marketing pixels. The few things we store in your browser exist to make the site work and to remember your own game scores on your own device.

What we store

  • Essential storage — keeps the site functioning during your visit (for example, remembering that a page has loaded its data).
  • Local game scores — your best score in Spot the Scam, Inbox Zero, the Password Game and the Phishing Quiz is saved in your browser's local storage. It never reaches our servers.
  • Aggregate analytics — we may record anonymous counts such as how many scans returned a high-risk verdict. These contain no message content and no personal identifiers.

What we never store

We do not keep the messages you paste into the scam text checker, and passwords created with our generator are produced entirely inside your browser and never transmitted.

Third parties

We load fonts from Google Fonts, which may log a standard web request (including your IP address) when the font files are fetched. We do not embed advertising networks or social media tracking widgets.

Managing cookies and storage

Every major browser lets you view and delete cookies and local storage from its privacy settings. Clearing site data for scambare.com removes your saved game scores; nothing else is affected, and you never need an account to use the site.
