Before You Report
Gather this information to make your report more effective:
- • Phone number, email, or URL used by the scammer
- • Date and time of contact
- • What the scammer said or sent (screenshots help)
- • Any money lost and payment method used
- • Names, organisations, or badge numbers mentioned
If You've Already Sent Money
- 1. Contact your bank or payment provider immediately — they may be able to reverse the transaction
- 2. Change passwords for any accounts you shared credentials for
- 3. Enable 2FA on your email and banking accounts
- 4. File a police report for documentation
- 5. Don't engage further — scammers often return with "recovery" scams
