'Send 0.1 BTC, get 0.2 back' — livestreamed with a cloned celebrity.

How it works

A YouTube livestream, X account, or Telegram channel impersonates Elon Musk, a major exchange, or a project team and promises to double any crypto sent to a wallet address. Fake transaction feeds scroll past to make it look like it's already paying out. Nothing ever comes back.

Red flags

Any promise to double or multiply crypto you send first
Verified-looking account with a recent creation date
Countdown timer and a 'limited pool' remaining
Comments disabled or filled with identical thank-you posts

Real-world example

"Official Tesla event: send 0.1–10 BTC to this address and receive double back instantly. Pool closes in 14 minutes."

What to do

01Treat every 'send crypto to receive more' offer as theft. There are no exceptions.
02Report the account or stream to the platform.
03Verify giveaways only on a project's long-standing official channels.
04Crypto payments are irreversible — never send to unlock a payout.
