Fake job offer scam

Fake recruiters post or message about remote, high-paying, low-effort jobs. You're 'hired' after a chat-only interview, then asked to pay for training, equipment, or a background check — or to hand over your ID, SSN, and bank details for 'payroll'. Some send a fake check to buy equipment from their 'vendor'. Real employers never charge you to work.
